Where does your passion lie within the automotive industry?
I'm very passionate about the automotive industry! I have my own mustang group on Facebook called Stangs & Fangs with almost 11,000 people in it. I'm an admin for multiple mustang pages on Facebook. I'm a Stang Magazine representative for my region, among many other jobs for the mustang community. My female friends in the mustang "family" have been SO supportive and even my husband is amazing with supporting me with all of my endeavors.
What started your passion for Mustangs?
My husband definitely is my influence for loving mustangs so much! His father has a 67 and 68 mustang GTs and it just flowed from there. We go to shows, wash the car together etc. It really is a great community of people. I'm not interested in only mustangs, I do love all makes and models of cars even including Supras
What would you like to see in the future of women in the industry?
I would like to see women be more prominent in racing and owning automobiles and definitely more support for women who want to have an interest in it. I would like to have the women who are already involved help other women just joining the industry to gain more knowledge and help them reach their potential
What was your inspiration when starting your groups?
I was inspired to make my own mustang group on Facebook actually because my one admin Evan (I have 12 admins to help me run my group!) and I got unfairly kicked out of another mustang group and we thought "You know what?! Let's start our own! A really nice group of people who share the mustang obsession." And a couple months later now, my group is going strong. After I gained a lot of publicity for starting a well liked group I got asked to be an admin in other groups, I got asked to be an admin in different mustang pages... I'm truly blessed to be apart of it all!
What would be your words of advice for females looking to get into the industry?
Don't be afraid get out there and strive for the things you really want just because it's a male dominated industry doesn't mean women don't have an equal opportunity to be able to achieve greatness. Basically don't be afraid to fail everything is a learning experience. Everyone can achieve greatness as long as they try.
What are your goals?
My goal is to become a well known person with all that I do in the mustang community. To get myself and my car recognized in Magazines and even Facebook and Instagram pages
What was your first Mustang?
It is a 2006 Mustang 4.6L GT. It was once silver and I got it painted black. (Crazy, I know). It has a lot of cosmetic modifications to it. It used to have the Eleanor body kit on it.. Like Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds?! Now it just has a random body kit on it that includes Roush side skirts. It has some performances mods like Kooks long tube headers, cold air intake, and a BAMA tune. It's definitely my kind of car. Aggressive, it's all black, has amazing RTR wheels (the same ones Vaughn Gittin jr has on his cars). I love it... It turns heads, and gets a lot of compliments. It was once shared on the Facebook page for Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords and got 35,000 Likes!
